Balance and Falls Treatment

STAND TALL treats balance/falls by putting emphasis on the balance aspect of exercises to regain stability.

Pulmonary Treatment

For STAND TALL pulmonary patients, emphasis is put on proper breathing technique, along with relaxation and efficient ways to function.

Extremities Treatment

To treat spine and extremity problems such as hand and arm pain, leg and foot pain, STAND TALL uses manual therapy techniques such as soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization or neuromuscular reeducation in conjunction with exercises and possibly modalities to decrease pain and regain normal functionality.

Lymphedema Treatment

Lymphedema is an abnormal accumulation of protein rich fluid (lymph), usually in the extremities due to insufficient lymphatic circulation causing limb swelling, reactive fibrosis and chronic inflammation.
The goal in treating patients with Lymphedema is to reduce the swelling and to maintain this reduction.

Spine treatment

90% of our patients

    Types of Incontinence are:
  • Stress
  • Urge
  • Mixed Incontinence

Constipation is difficulty or inability to pass bowel movements or urine.

Over 50% of individuals with low back pain or hip pain also have involuntary loss of urine and/or bowel problems. It is important to have a balance between abdominal muscles, pelvic muscles, back extensor muscles and the breathing diaphragm in order to achieve optimum function for low back, pelvic floor, bladder and bowel. Without this, pain can occur. Surgical procedures also can lead to pelvic floor dysfunctions.

STAND TALL can help reduce these symptoms using Biofeedback equipment (EMG) to see response of pelvic floor activities. Treatment may include specific exercises, hands on manual therapy and the instruction of anatomy and physiology of the lumbar spine, sacral iliac joint, pelvis, hip joint and pelvic floor.
